Sustainable and integrated mobility. The cooperative choice ”: the conference for the 50th anniversary of Cosepuri and Saca

The anniversary of Cosepuri and Saca, both historic cooperative companies founded in Bologna in 1972 and operating in the transport of people and goods sector, took place in the name of a strong look towards the future.
Not only memory of the origins, but above all innovation, sustainability and investments: these are the watchwords launched by the FICO Auditorium during the conference "Sustainable and integrated mobility. The cooperative choice ".
"It was a great satisfaction to celebrate the 50th anniversary together, but we wanted to go beyond the simple celebration and provide a contribution on the themes of sustainable mobility, a crucial challenge for the world of transport, especially in times when expensive energy affects strongly we wanted to reaffirm our commitment ”explains Alessio Passini, president of Saca.
Gino Onofri, president of Cosepuri is also on the same line: "For these 50 years we have been interpreting the cooperative spirit in our own way, staying together on the issues that will trace the path towards the future, starting with the energy efficiency of vehicles and electrification. The energy crisis and the environmental crisis confront us with the urgency to proceed without delay: we are facing years in which the ecological transition will be a primary objective ".
In this sense also the words of Enrico Giovannini, Minister of Infrastructures and Sustainable Mobility who, speaking on video, underlined the centrality of the cooperative method in the relationships between institutions and companies in view of the concrete realization of sustainable mobility formulas.
To reinforce the issues touched on by the Minister, the intervention of Pierluigi Stefanini, president of Asvis, followed by the intervention of Don Paolo Dall’Olio, director of the Pastoral Labor Office of the Diocese of Bologna.
The conference, conceived as a dialogue between the world of cooperative business and institutions, then saw the interventions of Daniele Ravaglia, president of Confcooperative Bologna and the Alliance of Cooperatives of Bologna and Rita Ghedini, president of Legacoop. Cosepuri and Saca, associated respectively with Confcooperative and Legacoop, "belong to different cooperative traditions, but they show that they really know how to interpret the spirit of the alliance, which holds together the different cultural matrices of cooperation, allowing the cooperative world to look in one direction common ”said Ravaglia.
“The conference wanted by Cosepuri and Saca demonstrates the ability of cooperation to keep up-to-date and to cope with the challenges of the present and the future, without being discouraged by the current situation and keeping the sustainability objectives very clear”, said Ghedini. The speeches by Dino Brancale, managing director of AVL Italia, a company committed to hydrogen mobility, and by Tiziano Dotti, Iveco's public sales manager, also revolved around innovation and sustainability.
Among the actors involved in sustainability is the Catholic Church, which with Pope Francis intended to place environmental protection in the cultural and spiritual horizon of Christians.
Political guests - Emily Clancy, vice mayor of Bologna and Andrea Corsini, regional councilor for transport - then spoke on the issues of sustainability and innovation applied to mobility, followed by the interventions of Giuseppina Gualtieri, president of Tper and Marco Spinedi, president of Interporto Bologna.
"The conference aimed to give voice to all points of view of mobility, with particular attention to our territory, in terms of integration between logistics platforms and transition to sustainability models, whose implementation today is no longer postponed. More than the past years, we wanted the celebration to look to the next times” explained Alessio Passini.
"The cooperative choice, to which the title refers, is intended to be a declaration of commitment, on such an important occasion for us. The commitment to maintain a clear vision oriented towards objectives that combine business success and contribution to the common good, in a system logic that sees institutions and businesses together" concluded Gino Onofri.
