Green Transition and Innovation: New Rooftop Solar System Operational at Cosepuri Headquarters Since September 9
This initiative marks a fundamental milestone in the cooperative’s green transition journey, confirming the concrete commitment of our Board of Directors toward increasingly sustainable, efficient, and forward-looking corporate management.
Sustainability, efficiency, and energy savings
The commissioning of the system, complete with latest-generation optimizers, allows Cosepuri to take a decisive step forward in terms of environmental sustainability: the self-production of clean energy from renewable sources will drastically reduce the ecological footprint of our operations and facility.
Alongside the clear environmental benefits, the project ensures significant savings on corporate energy costs, protecting us from market fluctuations and optimizing self-consumption.
The role of CERs and synergy with the Chamber of Commerce
The project was also made possible thanks to the valuable support of the Bologna Chamber of Commerce, which recognized the value of our initiative by granting a non-repayable contribution under the grant call for the energy transition of local enterprises.
As part of this shared vision, Cosepuri chose to join the CER (Renewable Energy Community) Wevez Soc. Coop., a strategic choice focused on the great advantages of the cooperative model applied to energy. Joining CERs represents a key lever for the shared consumption of produced energy, strengthening the local self-production network and promoting a virtuous, solidarity-driven, and local energy culture for the metropolitan economic system.
A strategic and long-lasting investment for the Cooperative
The resolution unanimously approved by the Board of Directors was not limited to the mere installation of solar panels. The operation included the simultaneous renovation and repair of the building's roof, restoring the optimal conditions of the coverage to host the new infrastructure.
Both the work on the roof and the photovoltaic system were designed to high quality standards to last over time. This is a strategic investment of primary importance for Cosepuri: a structural project that enhances the cooperative's real estate asset, strengthens its energy autonomy, and demonstrates the vision of a management attentive to the environment, the community, and the future of our company.
