COSEPURI: 2024 budget exceeds €40 million

"In addition to a positive financial result for the year, we have achieved significant overall revenue growth, which was also evident in the three previous financial years," stated Gino Onofri, President of the cooperative, which has been operating in the transportation market for 53 years through five operating divisions: chauffeur-driven cars and buses, coach services, disabled transport, and freight transport. "Further future growth will derive from the ability to invest in technological innovation and the creation of synergies and relationships for the provision of exclusive services on a national and international scale."
With a membership of over 240 companies, approximately 500 employees, and a fleet of high-end sedans and MPVs, GT buses, scheduled buses, and vehicles for disabled and freight transport, Cosepuri is continuing its strategy of expanding its reach.
Regarding individual passenger transportation, after developing its business in Emilia-Romagna and organizing a select network of associated or affiliated companies in the chauffeur-driven rental sector along the Turin-Milan-Bologna-Florence-Rome route and in other major Italian cities, Cosepuri is actively pursuing the exclusive commercial partnership it began in 2020 with Uber, a globally leading technology platform, responding to the demands of the multinational's customers not only in the Bologna metropolitan area but throughout the region. Furthermore, the recent strategic partnership with the Bologna-based company Auto Elite is aimed at strengthening the luxury mobility sector and expanding the offering of exclusive services nationally and internationally.
Despite the difficulty in recruiting train crews for public transport services—tourist, fixed-route, and school—the related revenues have increased significantly in all areas of operation. The transport of students with disabilities, with the support of on-board escorts and assistance staff, has also achieved satisfactory results.
Regarding scheduled public transport services in the Bologna, Ferrara, and Reggio Emilia areas, despite a slight increase in revenues, the difficulty in recruiting train crews is hampering further development and reducing profitability. To this end, the company intends to invest in training new drivers by initiating, with the employment agency Umana spa, a search for candidates to participate in a free program to obtain a Category D license and the necessary qualifications (CQC - Driver Qualification Card).
The company has also become a key player in both customized freight transportation, providing Bologna-based companies with an efficient, immediate pickup and delivery service for materials and equipment. It also operates in the healthcare transportation sector, efficiently connecting the region's hospitals by transporting biological materials, laboratory samples, medical reports, and temperature-controlled medications, tracking the status of pickups and deliveries in real time.
Finally, regarding the company's impact on the local area and its relationships with people, employees, suppliers, customers, and, more generally, the communities with which it interacts, the cooperative has initiated a process aimed at adopting measures in specific areas of interest, such as environmental compliance, sustainable mobility, gender equality, diversity, inclusion, welfare, and data security. It has also implemented an integrated corporate management system compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, UNI EN ISO 14001:2015, UNI EN ISO 45001:2023, and SA8000:2014 standards. It intends to maintain and progressively develop this system, including by activating new communication channels to disseminate a culture of sustainability within the organization, focusing on Quality, Safety, Environment, and Social Responsibility.
